1. Service and development stage
These Terms of Service describe the permitted use and responsibilities associated with the Sawalef website and Windows application. Sawalef is a Saudi-focused communication project providing voice, messaging and screen sharing.
The application is In Development · Private Preview. Preview installation requires tester authorization and the appropriate Microsoft account. The Store listing can be viewed without that alone granting installation access. Viewing the website or sending an enquiry does not create an account, grant preview authorization or entitle anyone to a paid service.
Use the website and application only where permitted by applicable law and the access conditions communicated to you.
2. Accounts, devices and security
Provide accurate account information and use only accounts and devices you are authorized to access. Keep verification codes, private keys and recovery information confidential. Review device access and use available revocation or sign-out controls when appropriate.
Recovery and backup functions have specific coverage and limits. Loss of access or recovery material may prevent recovery; not all messages or account data can necessarily be restored. Report suspected unauthorized access to [email protected].
3. Acceptable use
Use Sawalef lawfully and respect other people's privacy and rights. Do not use it to:
- Harass, threaten, exploit, impersonate or defraud others.
- Share unlawful content, malware or material you have no right to distribute.
- Access another person's account, devices or communications without permission.
- Bypass authorization, abuse resource limits or interfere with the service or its networks.
- Share private information or record others in violation of applicable law or required consent.
Report a security or abuse concern to [email protected], with a brief explanation and only the information necessary to describe the issue.
4. Your content and other participants
You are responsible for messages, files, voice and screen content you choose to share, including necessary permissions and consents. Share only information you intend recipients to see. Recipients may retain or record content even if it is encrypted during delivery or later removed from your own device.
You retain ownership of your content. By choosing to send or share it, you authorize the processing needed to provide that communication to your intended recipients and operate the corresponding service function. This does not transfer ownership of your content to Sawalef.
The Privacy Policy explains the distinction between protected communication contents, account information and delivery or signaling metadata.
5. Availability and limitations
Features and access can change during development. Calls depend on compatible devices, network reachability and a verified direct route. A call may not work on a restrictive network. Media quality, delivery timing and uninterrupted availability are not guaranteed.
Use an appropriate alternative for emergencies or situations that need guaranteed delivery. Keep independent copies of important material; current backup functions are not a complete device backup.
The preview does not offer a fixed uptime, network-performance or complete recovery commitment. These terms do not exclude rights or protections that applicable law requires.
6. Plans and subscriptions
Development work includes plans, account limits, local entitlement grants and Microsoft Store subscription preparation. These are separate mechanisms. Public prices and active paid offerings are not announced here. This website sells nothing and processes no payment.
If subscriptions are offered in the future, purchase terms must clearly identify prices, billing periods, renewal, cancellation, refunds, provider terms and the effect of expiry before a purchase is made. Separate provider terms may apply to Store transactions. Visiting this website does not create a subscription, charge or entitlement.
7. Intellectual property
The Sawalef name, artwork, website and first-party application material are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. Third-party components remain subject to their respective licenses and notices.
You may view the website and use authorized application access for its intended purpose, subject to these terms and applicable distribution conditions. This does not grant an application-source license or permission to claim ownership of Sawalef branding. Contact [email protected] about other uses of the name or artwork.
8. Access restrictions, closure and changes
Preview access may be restricted or ended for unauthorized access, misuse, security concerns, legal requirements or changes to the development programme. Where practical and appropriate, an explanation or notice will be provided through an available contact channel. Contact [email protected] to ask for clarification or review of an access decision.
You can stop using Sawalef and use available sign-out or device controls. Email the founder for account-closure or data requests. Closure and device revocation do not automatically delete content retained by other participants or all local copies.
These terms may be updated as the service develops. The current version and effective date will be published here. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate available channel where required.
9. Support and applicable requirements
Product-support enquiries should go to [email protected]. Business, partnership, privacy and terms questions should go to [email protected]. No particular response time or automatic preview approval is promised.
Use of the service remains subject to applicable law. No exclusive court, governing-law choice, compulsory arbitration clause or waiver of mandatory consumer or privacy rights is imposed by this page. Raise concerns with Sawalef through the contact channels above; legal rights and applicable complaint procedures remain available.
